Would You like to be a Corporate or Private Jet pilot?

Corporate and Private Pilot jobs operate business jets like Citations, Falcon and Gulfstream's for business executives and wealthy patrons.  These jobs are usually based in a geographic area like a local city or international airport, and have 2 to 12 pilots depending on the operation.  Flying Charter is the typical entry level job with the goal of finding employment a big stable flight department with top of the line jets or a lucrative job with private owner that appreciates the pilots quality of life and offers good compensation.

The pilot compensation is usually above average for pilots and commensurate with the size and sophistication of the jet they fly. The schedule is rather flexible, destinations vary and quality of pilots that are on your team will vary from great to not so great.  In some operations or with some clients, you may fly 5 days a month others will give you short notice and fly almost every day.  The business jets are usually more modern with high tech equipment and the trips are rather interesting.  The two downsides of the industry are the longevity of the jobs which average 3-5 years and the entry level charter positions with lower pay and a sometime onerous schedule.
